The event „From Energiewende to Energy Transition: European Perspectives on Smart Energy Systems“ is part of the showcase project WindNODE and the Enterprise Europe Network. Dr. Severin Beucker, CEO of the Borderstep Institute and Project Manager of the WindNODE Project, moderates a forum about smart neighborhoods as part of the World Café Sessions.
The aim of the project WindNODE is the development of best practice solutions for intelligent energy supply sourced by renewable energies in the model region of North-Eastern Germany.
Besides a keynote speech by the commission, presentations by representatives of diverse European energy regions and by WindNODE partners will be delivered.

The Smart Living industry association has submitted a statement on the Building Energy Act to Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister of Economics and Energy. In this statement, the association refers to the climate protection contribution of digitisation in buildings.
