Borderstep develops research projects that strengthen scientific exchange and knowledge transfer between Europe and the United States.

For example, the institute brings together exemplary models for international best practices for the transformation toward a green economy. This includes the SHIFT research project, which compares support systems for sustainable start-ups in Europe and the US.
