Networking cleantech and green economy actors
Networking cleantech and green economy actors is an important objective of Borderstep’s work.
Cleantech markets are international: This means Borderstep is collaborating with international partners such as the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) to form a global network. Its purpose is to decrease entry barriers and foster access to key green markets and financing for green start-ups and SMEs.
This includes a multi-country Exchange and Landing Pad Program which provides infrastructure and mentoring for start-ups wishing to expand internationally.
In March 2015, Borderstep and LACI co-hosted an international workshop in Berlin that brought together partners from Europe (Germany, Finland, Italy, Norway and the UK), Asia (China and Japan) and North America (Mexico and the US) in order to further develop joint initiatives for green start-ups.
