oikos is an international student organization (non-governmental organization) which seeks to strengthen awareness of sustainable development among future decision-makers by attempting to sensitize students for long-term, judicious thinking.
In practical terms, the work of oikos international includes organizing lectures, conferences, field trips, panel discussions, simulation games, and workshops.
oikos was founded in 1987 as a local students’ initiative at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. In 1997, oikos began to organize international activities. In the process, oikos broadened its focus to include social topics in the business world.

With a total of 12 events from the Ruhr area to the Black Forest, Borderstep will be exploring the green start-up scene in Germany from February 2019. The purpose of the format is to convey knowledge about the general conditions, the significance, the trends and the hurdles of green start-ups. More
