Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Research and Project Development

The Borderstep Institute has contributed to developments in the fields of a green economy and sustainable entrepreneurship for several years. Based on empirical studies, Borderstep carries out research on transatlantic trends, developments and dynamics of green markets.

Ongoing efforts include the StartUp4Climate initiative and the Green Economy Start-up Monitor, a study on start-up activities in the areas of green technologies, renewable energies, energy efficiency, circular economy and climate protection.

For the pilot in 2012, Borderstep also investigated cleantech start-up activities in California and compared them to efforts in Germany.
