Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Research and Project Development
The Borderstep Institute has contributed to developments in the fields of a green economy and sustainable entrepreneurship for several years. Based on empirical studies, Borderstep carries out research on transatlantic trends, developments and dynamics of green markets.
Ongoing efforts include the StartUp4Climate initiative and the Green Economy Start-up Monitor, a study on start-up activities in the areas of green technologies, renewable energies, energy efficiency, circular economy and climate protection.
For the pilot in 2012, Borderstep also investigated cleantech start-up activities in California and compared them to efforts in Germany.
Digital energy management in existing buildings 20.09.2019
The Smart Living industry association has submitted a statement on the Building Energy Act to Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister of Economics and Energy. In this statement, the association refers to the climate protection contribution of digitisation in buildings. Borderstep has calculated figures for the possible CO2 reduction through building automation systems in existing residential buildings in Germany. More
