Borderstep is again involved in the jury
On 8 April, the jury meeting of the SET Award (Startup Energy Award) will take place in Berlin. Dr. Severin Beucker, founder and managing director of the Borderstep Institute, is part of the jury. He also decides which of the start-ups on the SET100 list will receive the prize on the following day.
List with the top 100 energy start-ups worldwide
The #SET100 list contains the 100 best energy start-ups that applied for this year’s SET Award. The #SET100 companies have the opportunity to present themselves at the 24th World Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi, the World Energy Council’s most important three-year event.
The international initiative “Start Up Energy Transition” (SET) honors innovative business ideas in the field of energy system transformation and climate protection. The SET Tech Festival with the presentations of the finalists will take place on 9 April 2019 in Berlin. The prizes will be awarded on the same evening as part of the “Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue” – an international conference organised jointly by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy and the Federal Foreign Office.
Borderstep Presents Study on Energy Incubators
As part of the SET Tech Festival, Alexander Schabel, Head of Sustainable Business Development at Borderstep, presents a study on incubators in the energy sector.
In the current round, the Startup Energy Award (SET Award) is supported by the partner country Canada and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy. In addition, more than 100 partners from politics, business, science and non-governmental organisations are participating in the initiative.
