Diana Laura San Juan Sosa

Diana Laura San Juan Sosa supports the Borderstep team as a student assistant in the field of Digitisation & Green IT. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Environmental and Resource Management at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg. She was awarded the MINT Women’s Scholarship for this degree programme.

Her professional background combines environmental sciences with data analysis. She studied Ingeniería en Sistemas Ambientales (Environmental Engineering) at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City. As part of an internship at Parsons Corporation, she contributed to the environmental impact assessment for the NAICM airport project.

Diana then worked as a data analyst at Intertek, where she analyzed financial data and managed databases. She came to Germany through the Weltwärts program of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), a German-Mexican volunteer exchange. This program brought her to Berlin.

At Borderstep, she is particularly interested in the environmental impacts of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure.

In her free time, Diana tends to her many houseplants, does macramé, goes to the movies, and loves spending time with friends or her cat, Trufa.
