Elia Diem supports the Borderstep team as a student assistant in the research project Governance of Radical System Innovations.
Elia received her Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Life Sciences at the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. She earned her Master’s degree in Infection Biology at the Hannover Medical School and the Universidad Católica de Córdoba in Argentina. She is currently studying at the Leibniz University of Hannover.
Elia sees herself as part of the climate justice movement and has been interested for years in a climate-friendly lifestyle and the transformation of the whole society towards sustainability. On weekends she likes to experiment with vegan recipes and the cultivation of chili plants.

The Smart Living industry association has submitted a statement on the Building Energy Act to Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister of Economics and Energy. In this statement, the association refers to the climate protection contribution of digitisation in buildings.
