Martin Strobel

Martin Strobel is currently completing a 6-month placement at the Borderstep Institute as part of the On Purpose Programme. This programme helps experienced professionals to find their place in the socially and ecologically motivated sector. He mainly supports the Green Economy sector and the StartGreen Portal.

Prior to that, he worked for almost nine years at an international B2B mail order company for sports equipment. There he was in charge of various marketing areas. After three years with the main tasks of public relations and cooperation marketing, Martin took over responsibility for international marketing. Subsequently, he was responsible for the projects of the Concept & Design team as team leader. At the same time, he was in charge of various strategic marketing projects as well as complex projects in the field of business development.

In 2009, Martin Strobel and friends founded the non-profit association goalsconnect, which designs and implements project days on socially relevant topics for various types of schools. But working only voluntarily on socially relevant topics was no longer enough for him. So he joined On Purpose in 2018 and uses this as an opportunity to get to know the social entrepreneurship sector. He is convinced that social change at many levels must be shaped and promoted by the economy. His greatest motivation is to contribute to this.
