For the future of the energy transition

Open District Hub (ODH)

The reduction of CO2 emissions is one of the most important challenges of our time. The Open District Hub e.V. (ODH), founded in 2018, makes a significant contribution to the solution. It is driving forward the fully integrated and automated sector coupling in the district.

The ODH is focusing on an ICT ecosystem for holistic, fully integrated and automated sector coupling. This enables innovative business models that contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

Existing isolated applications are linked in an economically viable manner, resulting in an open and scalable system solution along the value chain. The Open District Hub e.V. helps to create the appropriate regulatory framework for this.

The Borderstep Institute is an active member of the ODH through Dr. Severin Beucker and is involved in Working Group 1: Business Models, Use Cases & Requirements.

Further members of the association are well-known companies from the fields of energy and real estate, neighborhood development and building automation. In addition, there are members from research, consulting as well as associations and federations.
