Borderstep at ICT4S 2022: The 8th international conference on ICT and sustainability is organized by the University of Plovdiv (Bulgaria). The 8th International Conference on ICT for Sustainability is organised by the University of Plovdiv. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference will be held in a hybrid form in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and virtually.

• Main conference: 14 – 16 June 2022.
• Pre-conference workshops: 13 June, 2022.
• Post-conference workshops: 17 June, 2022

ICT4S 2022: Borderstep presents Bitkom building study

Borderstep will present a paper describing the methods of the Bitkom Building Study at the conference. The Bitkom study Climate Protection and Energy Efficiency through Digital Building Technologies analyzed to what extent digital technologies – e.g. smart building technology and building automation – contribute to a reduction of energy consumption in buildings and what share they have in achieving the climate protection targets in 2030 and 2045.

The international ICT4S conferences bring together leading researchers in ICT for Sustainability with government and industry representatives, including decision-makers with an interest in using ICT for sustainability, researchers focusing on ICT effects on sustainability and developers of sustainable ICT systems or applications.
