Final conference of nordwest2050
Climate change as an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany
As one of the research partners, the Borderstep Institute, presented the findings from three projects on cooling, air conditioning, and bioenergy at the International Final Conference of the nordwest2050 (KLIMZUG) project in Bremen. Innovative examples from everyday practice in the Bremen region were shown and disseminated as business ideas for local small and medium-sized enterprises. In addition, the institute presented a “Manual for climate-adapted refrigeration technology.”
With approx. €10 million in funding from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the “nordwest2050” research network worked on projects focused on providing practical solutions for climate adaptation and resilience in the greater Bremen-Oldenburg metropolitan area.
