Sustainable entrepreneurship and eco-innovation
The Borderstep Institute has contributed to developments in the fields of green economy and sustainable entrepreneurship for several years. Borderstep carries out empirically based research on transatlantic trends, developments, and dynamics of green markets.
Ongoing initiatives include the StartUp4Climate, a national German start-up initiative, the Green Economy Start-up Monitor, a regular survey on start-up activities in the areas of green technologies, renewable energies, energy efficiency, circular economy, and climate protection as well as GreenUpInvest, a research initiative exploring financing conditions and options for green start-up’s.
Borderstep is also actively involved in the ISPIM—the International Society for Professional Innovation Management, and is organizing special sessions on sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation at the annual ISPIM conferences.
