The Green Start-Up Café
BMWK and KfW founder platform
The Borderstep Institute supports the founder platform in setting up the offer for green start-ups and moderates the Green Start-up Café. The Green Start-up Café is a place to exchange experiences. And for networking around business ideas for a more ecologically sustainable future.
The doors to the virtual Green Start-up Café open during the lunch break for all green startup enthusiasts and founders who want their idea to contribute to a more ecologically sustainable future.
In this small group, participants can share their experiences, ask questions and openly address concerns or challenges. This allows them to build a virtual network with other green founders. A network in which you can support each other and learn from each other.
Borderstep Director Prof. Dr. Klaus Fichter and Borderstep Research Fellow Thomas Neumann moderate the round and answer all questions about sustainable founding.
About the founder platform
The founder platform is the central contact point for all start-up enthusiasts in German-speaking countries. Aspiring founders are supported from the idea to the business model to the business plan in the implementation of their start-up project. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and KfW are the initiators of the platform. It is implemented by the partner BusinessPilot.
As part of its collaboration with the founder platform, Borderstep is designing new knowledge offerings, guides and learning formats specifically on the topic of green startups. Additional support and consulting formats offer personal and individual assistance to those interested in founding a company. This enables them to develop their green ideas and business models.
The founder platform aims to empower founders to develop their ventures sustainably using new knowledge and skills. And to create positive ecological and social impact with entrepreneurial methods.
